Now 21 years old, Democracy Summer is hiring again. This paid summer internship is for North Carolina college and community college students interested in organizing or a possible career in social change.

You know who I'm talking about — that student who is already working to make a difference in their community. They're always getting involved, leading programs and people, and being the change they want to see. This summer could be a life-changing, hands-on experience for them. Interns work for 9 weeks during the summer as organizers in communities across the state. We're looking for interns who can spend the summer in our regional hubs all over the state, to reach local volunteers, advocate for policies that improve democracy, and help turn out voters for this critical 2020 Election. Interns earn a $3,700 stipend, while building relationships and receiving training that will help them kickstart an exciting career in social and economic justice, advocacy, research, politics, law, nonprofits, or public service.
