More than 100 people were in attendance April 7 for our branch's celebration of the 110th anniversary of the NAACP, co-sponsored by Orange County Community Remembrance Coalition

Attendees heard from keynote speaker Irving Joyner, NCCU Law Professor and NC NAACP Legal Redress Chair, as well as Theodore Shaw, Julius L. Chambers Distinguished Professor Of Law and Director Of the UNC Center for Civil Rights.

At the event, we received resolutions/proclamations from Town of Carrboro and Orange County and introduced our 2019 Woman of the Year, Bishop Ila McMillan.
