The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties (LWVODC), together with
the Chapel Hill-Carrboro National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is sponsoring a Candidate Meet and Greet for those running for the offices of Mayor and Board of Aldermen of Carrboro.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 3, from 6-8 pm at the Community Room of the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) located on 400 Jones Ferry Rd, Carrboro, NC 27510.
The Meet and Greet will begin with the moderator explaining the format and rules of the gathering to the audience, and then introducing the participants. The Mayor and each candidate running for the Board of Alderman office will have 5 minutes to speak about their relevant experience and priorities in regards to issues important to Carrboro voters.
Following the conclusion of the candidates’ presentations, the candidates will be invited to field questions from and mingle with the audience. The candidate event will be open to the public, and various news media outlets also will be invited to attend.
