The State Board of Elections is conducting the Registration Repair Project to ensure every voter’s record includes the required identification numbers—either a North Carolina driver’s license or DMV-issued ID number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
Why does this matter?
If your registration is missing this information, you may be required to cast a provisional ballot and provide verification the next time you vote.
Take action now:
Use the official Registration Repair Search Tool to see if your record needs to be fixed.
If you’re listed, follow the steps to update your voter file so your vote counts without delay.
Your vote is your voice—and we’re here to help you protect it.
Let’s make sure every vote in our community is ready to be counted in this year’s municipal elections.
